Loved the porch balcony off the room!
Dirty floor and wall stains.

Great service, though a few employees were incredibly rude. Got the same brand-new and well furnished queen room with balcony booked online, greatly enjoyed that.

Location: the hotel was short walk to a hill, the Doura river and the main shopping street. Spent a nice evening at elebe Baixa, located close to the venue. The staff were very courteous, and the room was reasonably spacious with balcony with stunning view.

Well located and clean.
The day before I checked in, they deducted one night's stay from my credit card, which bothered me a lot because I wasn't planning on paying for my stay with that card (it would have been nicer to have deducted a day's stay from that card if I hadn't shown up at the hotel). The dark room, without enough lights, so to read something I had to go to the bathroom, I asked for a lamp and they said they didn't have any. In Oporto there was an important taxi strike, we asked them if they could help us to get a transfer or some locomotion to get to the train station and they answered that they didn't have anybody or knew about anybody and they couldn't help me with that problem. The day of the check out,, we lowered the suitcases before the breakfast, the gentleman who was in the reception did not allow us to leave the suitcases in the reception while we were having breakfast and told us to leave them in the lobby, so we could not leave the suitcases without any control of anybody so we had to take the suitcases up again to the room, with all the inconveniences that imply, given the small size of the 2 elevators. In short, no customer orientation, poor value for money and of course I would not repeat this hotel if I returned to Porto.

location is very good, although you have to take into account that in Porto there are many slopes and hotel is in a high part. staff is friendly and they all speak Spanish. We also liked the breakfast. extra bed in our case was a sofa bed and is comfortable for adults. In the corridor we have seen extra beds that were taken from other rooms, maybe they are for children. It is next to Santa Catarina Street, full of shops and with several cafeterias. nearest metro stop is Sao Bento (6 minutes walk but with a big hill to get to the hotel).
We were surprised that the rooms do not have a fridge and that there is no room service or restaurant to eat something after hours. I have seen negative comments about the elevators, it is true that they are the two small ones but they are enough to carry two people with suitcases in each elevator.

Staff were just excellent, so friendly and willing to help. Good English skills too. Breakfast was lovely and we found the location of the hotel good, but the hill was difficult after a long day sightseeing. I would definitely return to this hotel next time I'm in POrto. We loved the city too.
Nothing...all excellent. Will recommend hotel to family and friends.

The helpfull attitude of the staff on reception. The good quality beds.Cleanliness.
Too few and poor quality hangers for clothes. Relatively little space in twin room. Only space for one chair.

Very friendly receptionist when we arrived (1st May). Told us all about the city and made us feel very welcome. The hotel was very clean and our room was comfortable.
The hotel is reasonably high up and a 5 min walk uphill from the nearest metro. Wasn't an issue for us but we also learned about the funicular down near the bridge which was useful if you're heading to or from the water front.

The hotel has a very good location, in the middle of Praca Batalha and is well connected by tram, bus and subway (just below is Sao Bento). You can walk to all the places, close to Allied zone with Praca Liberdade, also close to Rua Santa Catarina and Capela das Almas. You can also quickly reach the Cathedral. The farthest thing is the river area, although it's all downhill and you can go fast too. For us the worst thing is the slope so steep that there is from the area of Sao Bento, is deadly and you have to go through there to get to the hotel. The quality-price hotel is good, the breakfast maybe a little limited but it has what you need to have breakfast with energy.
room had no outlets near the bedside tables, something we consider basic these days... There were only two outlets around the TV area. And, on the other hand, double room we had was quite small but clean and bed was comfortable. We know that they are reforming the rooms, in fact the hotel had some areas under construction, I suppose that they will make them more modern and improve these aspects.

Ordinary Quality Inn hotel. Very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice lobby area. The location is very good with three restaurants just next to the hotel and a few blocks away from the tube to the airport.
The room had a terrace with view over another building, and with a very low fence. Wouldn't recommend that for small children. Breakfast a bit boring, missed som fresh vegetables.

Very good value for money, good location - walking distance to Ribeira. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel of a 'hop-on, hop-off' tourist bus which I would recommend if you are staying for 1-2 days in Porto. The rooms are very good, there are coffee/tea facilities that are free of charge. Breakfast was great, with bits of everything. Hotel staff were extremely helpful.

Quite in center, all sights very close, attractive price.
Rooms are not very big, parking not in hotel, but low price excuses all that ))
